Salt & Pepper

I'm back! Spent some time at my beloved México with family and friends. I had so much fun!. Sun, delicious food and my sweet boy playing with his cousins. So, after collecting a new set of smells, colors, and memories into my personal box of strength, that keeps me going here in Spain, I was ready to move on.
The perfect way to start: The wedding of a dear friend.
My dear friend Ainara got married yesterday, and you know how I love to prepare gifts, as a "tradition" here, guests give money as a gift.
Usually they use little envelopes, but Marie and I wanted something different to wrap those euro bills (we were both invited). So I thought about the importance of couples, we were two of her friends, making something for two.
Two... like salt and pepper, there's a couple! They're always accompanying us in our breakfast, supper or romantic dinners. I thought about giving her beautiful shakers for salt and pepper, and make a little story for them. She loved it, and we earned a huge and loving hug. Congrats Ainara & Iñigo! we love you!.

Estoy de vuelta!, he pasado unas maravillosas vacaciones en mi México querido. Acompañada de familia y amigos lo pasé fenomenal!. Sol, comida deliciosa y mi niño jugando con sus primos. En fin, después de recolectar nuevos aromas, colores y recuerdos para mi caja personal de motivación, la cual me permite salir adelante en España estaba lista para seguir.
La mejor manera de empezar: La boda de una amiga. Mi querida Ainara se casó ayer, como todos saben, me encanta preparar regalos. Tradicionalmente aquí se da dinero como regalo de bodas, generalmente en sobres. Pero Marie y yo quisimos hacer algo diferente para envolver esos billetes. Así que pensé en la importancia de las parejas, éramos dos de sus amigas, preparando algo especial para dos.
Dos... cual sal y pimienta, esa sí que es una pareja! . Inseparables, nos acompañan en el desayuno, la comida y en cenas románticas. Pensé en regalarles salero y pimentero y hacer una historia que les involucrara a ellos. Le encantó! y fuimos recompensadas con un enorme y cariñoso abrazo. Felicidades Ainara e Iñigo! Los queremos!.

Baobab Decó

It was Sunday and I had already finished my Mom-Wife tasks, so I took some pictures to update my portfolio, this happened about a month ago. I did this identity for an interior & decoration shop in Berango. My client loved the baobab tree, so she wanted one for her logo.

Era domingo por la tarde, había terminado las labores madre-esposa, así que hice unas fotos para actualizar mi portafolio, de esto ya hace casi un mes. Hice esta identidad para un sitio de decoración e interiorismo en Berango. A mi cliente le encantan los árboles baobab, y quería uno para su logo.

Eddie's poetic view

of Society. I recently got hired again (well actually it's about a month now) so I've been completely absorbed by the new people and things to do, busy bee!. So sorry for not keepig up with new posts. Well as I was saying, since I have a very long way to work, I get into the train and listen to music, lately to Eddie Vedder's Into the Wild, beautiful and clean voice, poetic lyrics about Chris's Journey. If you can, listen to it at sunrise (that's been like my ritual these days) it urges an impulse to write...

Visiones poéticas de la sociedad, de Eddie Vedder. He sido contratada nuevamente en fechas recientes (hace un mes exactamente) y he estado completamente dedicada a conocer a gente nueva y hacer cosas que estaban a medias, ya siento tardar tanto en actualizar. Bien, como decía, al tener un viaje tan largo al trabajo, aprovecho y escucho música, últimamente Into the Wild de Eddie Vedder. Una voz clara, masculina, preciosa, letras poéticas sobre el vaje de Chris. Precioso! Si pueden escuchen su música al amanecer, antes de ir al trabajo, se ha convertido en mi ritual personal, llego a mi destino con sed de escribir cada sentimiento que sentí en el trayecto:
"El sol se asoma,
la luz me ciega
cierro los ojos
empiezo un viaje, vuelo..."

Doors for stories

I think that a good introduction to a story made for cinema comes with its poster. I guess it could represent a glimpse of it. That's a task, to represent a whole story in a static image. Illustration, photography, typography, what a delight!. This are to of my favorite posters. The first one from  Hard Candy won an award for best movie poster of that year, I saw the movie and really thought it was a very clever image, to dress her with a red hood, the art. I really liked it.
The  Margot at the Wedding poster has all the elements I love to use: White clean space, helvetica light and a pink hat!.

Una buena introducción a una historia hecha para el cine se da con su cartel. Yo creo que puede llegar a ser una mirada rápida. Eso sí que es un reto, representar toda una historia en una imagen estática. Ilustración, fotografía, tipografía, que delicia!. Estos son dos de mis favoritos, ambos sirvieron como la puerta a esa primera mirada, y ambos lograron que me sintiera atraida a la historia. El primero es de  Hard Candy ganó el premio al mejor cartel para peliculas de ese año.
El de  Margot at the Wedding tiene todos los elementos que me encanta usar en mis diseños: Espacio limpio y ordenado, helvetica light y un sombrero rosa!.

Val's cup is in love

My good friend Val sent me this picture, and I found it so cute!. Look how proud she was of her cup, she even decorated with the pantone guide, to make a lovely picture.

Ode to Imagination

Having a three year old, in pure process of developing his imagination, I realize how wonderful is to "live" his stories together. Ander is constantly whispering under his red table, talking and laughing with someone. And he has so much fun! I really felt that I saw a little of his world when I watched this trailer (remember that world? the one we once belonged too). I loved it!.

Teniendo un peque de 3 años, en pleno desarrollo de su imaginación, me doy cuenta de lo importante que es vivir sus "historias" con él. Ander se pasa el tiempo susurrando debajo de su pequeña mesa granate. Y se lo pasa fenomenal! En relaidad sentí que vi algo de su mundo cuando vi este avance (recuerdan ese mundo? ese al que una vez pertenecimos). Me encantó!.
